Taking you all’s advice, I made everything I possibly could ahead of time. I took a day off work to make my favorites of our family christmas cookies. The day before I put together the sweet potato casserole, marinaded the tenderloin, whipped up the twice baked potatoes, and chopped all the other loose ingredients… so on Christmas Day it was down to my grandmother’s King Dad’s Steak in the oven, salad getting tossed, gravy simmering and asparagus sautéing on the stove. We attacked the kitchen as a team and I’m happy to say it was a non-catastrophy. In fact, I think it was good. :)
Either way, it felt like home. And it was a feast.
